Performance Modeling Engineer

Etched is building the world’s first AI inference system purpose-built for transformers, delivering over 10x higher performance and dramatically lower cost and latency than a B200. The Performance Modeling Engineer will develop comprehensive performance models and projections, analyze deep learning workloads, and drive hardware/software co-optimization to enhance performance.

Etchedai is focused on developing advanced ASIC systems for artificial intelligence, aiming to deliver unprecedented performance in AI applications. The Performance Modeling Engineer will be responsible for developing SoC functional models, collaborating with various teams, and optimizing performance for AI workloads.

Head of Performance Visibility

Etched is building the world’s first AI inference system purpose-built for transformers, and they are seeking a Head of Performance Visibility to define performance metrics across next-generation AI accelerator systems. This role involves establishing abstractions, event correlation frameworks, and distributed reasoning systems to enhance performance intelligence across hardware and software layers.

Supercomputing Intern

Etched is building the world’s first AI inference system purpose-built for transformers. The supercomputing intern role focuses on the design, development, and deployment of ML system software required for operating rack-scale systems, including network performance and system-level health analysis.

Supercomputing Intern - Fall 2026

Applied AI Engineer, Silicon Engineering

Etched is building hardware for frontier intelligence by co-designing chips, racks, software, and manufacturing for high-throughput, low-latency AI inference. The Applied AI Engineer will embed with silicon-engineering teams to build, deploy, evaluate, and maintain LLM-agent workflows and tooling that accelerate chip development, verification, debugging, EDA, and validation workflows.

Senior Manufacturing Software Engineer

Etched is building hardware, software, and manufacturing systems for frontier AI inference. The Senior Manufacturing Software Engineer will build backend services, APIs, data platforms, release infrastructure, and test station software that support automated manufacturing, production testing, and factory operations.

People Operations Intern

Etched is building hardware and infrastructure for frontier artificial intelligence inference. The People Operations Intern will support People Operations and Legal through compliance audits, employee operations, contracts, research, and cross-functional company projects.

Performance Tools Intern

Etched is building hardware and infrastructure for frontier intelligence, with a focus on inference-focused machine learning accelerators. The Performance Tools Intern will help develop performance analysis, profiling, data collection, tracing, and visualization tools that enable engineers and customers to understand workload behavior, identify bottlenecks, and optimize ML applications.

Emulation Engineer

Etched is focused on building AI chips designed for individual model architectures, aiming to enhance throughput and reduce latency. The Emulation Engineer will oversee SoC bring-up on emulation platforms, develop automated build flows, and collaborate with various teams to enhance platform capabilities.

Fleet Software Lead

Etched is building hardware and software infrastructure for frontier artificial intelligence inference at massive scale. The Fleet Software Lead will lead the Fleet Software team, set technical direction and architecture for provisioning, configuration, updates, recovery, telemetry, and monitoring, and support reliable customer deployments. The role also involves hiring and mentoring engineers, partnering across hardware and deployment teams, and contributing to difficult technical problems.
